I am offering home care for children between the ages of 1 to 4 years. My home daycare is Licensed through Children’s Village.

I am located in the heart of downtown Ottawa in between Lyon and Kent street. There is a park close by where I take the children to play on nice days. There is also a ‘playgroup’ a couple blocks away open 2 days a week that I attend with the children. Here, they interact and engage in a playful environment with other children in various activities provided by the community center. We also go to the public library every Wednesday for story time.

I have been working in the child care-giving business for the last 19 years and have received certificates from The Children’s Village agency in:

-home and food safety
-nutrition
-child behaviour
-communication with parents
-preschool speech and language development

I am also a member of and have successfully completed and received certificates from the Child Care Provider’s Resource Network (CCPRN) after completing the following courses:

-business of home child care
-child growth and development
-ethics of caring
-caring for infants and toddlers
-caring for preschoolers
-caring for school age children
-children’s needs in multi aged groups
-developing children’s language skills
-natural meals and snacks
-children abuse awareness

I am certified and trained by the Red Cross in CPR and I also have a police record check in the vulnerable sector.

Children are provided with a snack in the morning, lunch, and a snack following their afternoon nap.
