Mother to two children (aged 1 and 4) opening a new home daycare in November 2020.  Christian curriculum presented in a gentle and calm environment that encourages play-based learning. We spend lots of time outdoors exploring nature together and getting good exercise. We are within walking distance of many different neighborhood playgrounds. We read a minimum of three books per day and do pre-school circle time at 9am.  I serve two hot meals per day and one snack; healthy, colourful meals with no sugar or processed foods. I maintain a rotating collection of toys, so the children will have fresh opportunities each week to play with new objects, including wooden puzzles, building blocks, dress-up clothes, play-doh, imaginative play, and fine motor skill toys. Emphasis is placed on learning good manners, kindness, respect, teamwork, patience and emotional intelligence. We spend at least two hours a day speaking French. The children will love our exciting science experiments, creative crafts, silly dance parties, and unique sensory bins. Once or twice a month we go to the local library or playgroup as a special activity.
