Board Member Recruitment
One evening per month + occasional follow-up activities
Board Member nominations open each spring. We are always looking for passionate, committed, community-minded individuals to join our volunteer Board of Directors.
Ideal volunteers have knowledge of and an interest in home child care. Good communication skills are essential and skills, knowledge, or experience in one of the following areas would be an asset:
- Marketing
- Fundraising/Grant Writing
- Accounting
Previous Board experience is not necessary. This is a wonderful opportunity for parents, home child care providers, community partners, and/or mature students seeking to gain experience with a volunteer Board.
Board meetings are held once a month and are virtual. Directors can volunteer from anywhere in the province.

Board Consultants
Ongoing and as needed.
Board Consultants come from a variety of professional backgrounds and are available to lend the Board their expertise in an advisory capacity. They support CCPRN’s mission by volunteering on committees, reviewing resources, and/or providing expert knowledge and guidance on a variety of topics related to the organization’s ongoing operations and/or strategic plan.
Volunteering as a Board Consultant provides community professionals with the ideal opportunity to support CCPRN without the traditional time commitments and responsibilities of being on the Board of Directors.
All CCPRN Board Consultants have the opportunity to put their skills and expertise to good use, directly assisting CCPRN in making a difference in the lives of Ontario home child care providers and the families they serve.
CCPRN is currently seeking Board Consultants with skills in media training, marketing, fundraising, accounting, advocacy/lobbying, and/or law.

Fundraising and Marketing
Ongoing - one year or more
CCPRN is seeking enthusiastic and energetic volunteers with fundraising and marketing experience to help secure the future of CCPRN! Through this opportunity, volunteers will work closely with a board member or staff mentor to hone (and mobilize) their organizational, planning, and research skills, while also learning about the operations of a not-for-profit charity. All ideas are welcomed, and will ensure our organization can continue to offer programs to home child care providers and their children in the wake of lost funding. Interested? Email julie@ccprn.com for more information!
